ANGELS WILL COME
Voice was so soft
behind me -
the only friend
wanted to say I
or that, and beside
driving
unbearable to me
looked warm
giving
alone;
all life splendour
on white
smoke frozen
forever in
and just as cold.

Contacts/scans needed....
I am trying to find current contact information for Bryn Fortey of Forty Winks Press. Also, I am in need of scans or hard copies of anything I previously published (Bloody Quill, Glasshouse Electric.....) and/or my own work that was published. Anyone who can help or advise please get in touch.
My utmost gratitude in advance. J W.

Regrets
REGRETS
So far, so good
about having said
ever, I'm not proud
comment and
after I had stated
said something like
is not the place for
it this one time
and then having,
sat down.

Have been kicking

accessible with
mental impulse
the deft

far beyond a

Archive # 4 - Chemical Warfare
This piece appeared in my collection "Alien Shudder" (Inkpot Press) as well as the 1999 Forty Winks Press war-themed anthology "Zones" (ISBN: 095335752X). It reflects the genre (horror/SF) themes that flavoured much of my early work.
CHEMICAL WARFARE
Not people we are;
we're like chemicals.
I take them
and the face
and heart.
I feel one of,
like-shaped
in the world;
it was meant for us
and I can taste it.

Archive # 3 - To Comprehend Or Presumption
This piece originally appeared in my collection "The Horror Of Used Clothing" published by Forty Winks Press in 2000 (ISBN:0953357538)
TO COMPREHEND OR PRESUMPTION
The air is damp
we hear the cars above
between sags of cable
grit
foreign matter
I don't know what to
fabric-softened face
and brush
to go and slide in
lost in the damp
to hold her
and cold now.

Archive #1 - The Bloody Quill
In 1996 I started to produce my first zine "The Bloody Quill". Based on a vampiric/gothic theme, the zine featured poetry, fiction and reviews by writers based in the UK and abroad. My thanks to Des Lewis for posting cover scans on another site.
